This past weekend I threw out likely an item that I've had longer than any other. With me for nearly forty years, longer than I've been married to Karen. Yeah, a bit sentimental, but more it is just amazing how long something can last...well at least things that were made 40 years ago...especially when we take care of them.
So...how are we, how am I, doing taking care of things that really matter? Oh, this forty year old radio that has been with me since tech school, i.e. 'Air Force Fire Fighter Academy' in Chanute Illinois, and most recently sitting in the rafters of my garage, playing music as soon as the light switch was placed on...it has a special place in my journey for sure. And now I say goodbye. Yet, more importantly, how am I ... how are we doing with our relationships? You'd think as I approach sixty that I'd have it figured out. But...I don't! Panasonic made a pretty good product, yes that they did. But our Creator...He made us in His image, an image that reflects relationship as utmost important. So Father I thank You that You continue to work with me in this area.
Might I 'Pan'...to all...'Sonic'...sound...that is, might I make a pleasing sound to all that comes before me. Paying special attention to those closest to us.
